Dennis Polygenis B.Sc. Pt., MCPA, Registered Physiotherapist

Mr. Polygenis is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 1997.

He is a member of the Canadian & Ontario Physiotherapy Associations. He was a Clinical Tutor for the University of Toronto from 1999-2003. He has been in clinical practice for 17 years. He has training in manual therapy, acupuncture and cranial sacral therapy. His in-patient experience includes paediatrics, orthopaedics, brain injury and spinal cord injury.

He is a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) specializing in the areas of comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient medical rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation and chronic pain. He is a registered Progressive Goal Attainment (PGAP) Provider. He is an ARCON certified functional evaluator. He is certified in the 4th Edition AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment Rating and is a Certified Catastrophic Impairment Rater.

He has extensive experience in assessing loss of services in the areas of housekeeping, caregiving, attendant care and long term needs for persons with musculoskeletal impairments, including chronic and catastrophic impairments. He held the position of Vice President, Clinical Operations for a large CARF Accredited multidisciplinary rehabilitation service provider from 2005-2010 He holds current approved certifications in Adult CPR, Standard First-Aid, Child CPR, Child First-Aid and Automated External Defibrillation.
