A DEFINITIVE WORKSHOP ON CATASTROPHIC IMPAIRMENT EVALUATION

DAY ONE: Clinical Skills Training & Physical Track 
surveys the eight criteria listed in the SABS for motor vehicle accidents post June 1, 2016. It is designed for a wide range of professionals including lawyers, insurers, quality assurance personnel and assessors who conduct catastrophic determination examinations. This program will systematically review changes in all catastrophic criteria for post June 2016 motor vehicle accidents.




DAY ONE: Clinical Skills Training & Mental Behavioural Track
surveys the eight criteria listed in the SABS for motor vehicle accidents post June 1, 2016. It is designed for a wide range of professionals including lawyers, insurers, quality assurance personnel and assessors who conduct catastrophic determination examinations. This program will systematically review changes in all catastrophic criteria for post June 2016 motor vehicle accidents.





Mental Behavioural Track: Aims to provide advanced in-depth training on how to actually undertake mental/behavioural and neurocognitive behavioural related examinations as it pertains to revised SABS catastrophic criteria of 4, 5, 7 and 8. It is designed for clinicians including psychiatrists, clinical and rehabilitation psychologists, neuropsychologists and occupational therapists that are seeking comprehensive training in the assessment of these specific aspects of the catastrophic determination purposes.




Physical Track: A second session provided a full training in the proficient use of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 4th Edition including modules covering the evaluation of the upper extremity, spine, lower extremity, central nervous system impairment and all other specialized elements. This course is designed for physical assessors who wish to gain expert skills in this area of CAT evaluations.
