Allied Health Professionals C-CAT (P) Exam

    (Chiropractors/ Physical Therapists/Kinesiologists etc.)

Please note the following:

  1. The C-CAT Advanced Skills and Review course (Physical) is intended as a brief review of the general SABS criteria and a forum to provide further training and confidence in handling a wider spectrum of case complexity within the AMA Guides 4th Edition framework. The focus will be on both applicable clinical practice as well as preparation for the C-CAT examination.

  2. Pre-requisites for this session includes completion of the C-CAT general Clinical Skills Training program as well as the full AMA Guides 4th Edition instruction course (or their approved equivalents). These programs may be completed in-person or via online methods.  Please note that completion of the Advanced Skills course alone does not qualify participants to write the C-CAT examination without the appropriate pre-requisites.

  3. All participants in the Advanced Skills course (Physical) must have a copy of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 4th Edition available for reference during the session.

Those who plan to sit for the C-CAT exam are also encouraged to review the full CSME-CAPDA CAT Came Back Program. The recordings are available for free online reference to past participants or for purchase to new registrants:

  1. C-CAT CLINICAL SKILLS TRAINING (ALL TRACKS)
  2. C-CAT MENTAL BEHAVIOURAL CLINICAL SKILLS TRAINING (MENTAL BEHAVIOURAL TRACK)
  3. C-CAT AMA GUIDES TO THE EVALUATION OF PERMANENT IMPAIRMENT 4TH EDITION TRAINING COURSE (PHYSICAL TRACK)

The above components are also available in a package for access to the full recordings required as pre-requisites for the C-CAT examination, by functional area.

  1. C-CAT (P) – Physical Track (components 1 and 2)
  2. C-CAT (M) – Mental Behavioural Track (components 1 and 3)
  3. C-CAT (FO) – Functional Observer Track (component 1 and choice of 2 or 3)
